ABSTRACT
The article offers information on the updated guidance of the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) which offers recommendations on lipid modification, cardiovascular risk assessment and modification of blood lipids for prevention of cardiovascular disease (CVD). Suggestions discussed include avoiding use of supplements enriched with plant stanols, assessing people's confidence in making changes to their lifestyle, and advise people who are at risk of CVD.
