The article focuses on the legal regime of deportation in the U.S. with reference to the proceedings of the case Arizona v. United States. Topics discussed include description of functions of the regime and underenforcement, explanation of costs, benefits, and indirect consequences of deportation, and understanding of the deportation under the status quo.
