ABSTRACT
The article reports on a July 2013 updated statement by the American Academy of Pediatrics' (AAP) Committee on Adolescence on caring for LGBTQ youth. Topics highlighted from the report include access to information and education on sexual health, environmental and systemic causes of increased risk of negative mental and sexual health among LGBTQ youth, and support of gender identity in transgender youth.
