ABSTRACT
The article contains the personal memories of M.A. Beketova about her father -- A. N. Beketov (1825-1902). the outstanding botanist, the chief of Department of Botany of Saint Petersburg University. The building of this Department (former Botanical laboratory), University Botanical Garden and powerful botanical school were found with his direct participation, under his direction. The memories also concern the time of his foreign mission (1865 - 1866).
