ABSTRACT
The article presents tips to take advantage of tools in the Apple Mac operating system (OS) X Mavericks, including the system's refined support for multiple displays, for power management tools, and for more-useful notifications. Ways to see the dock on nonprimary monitors, choose the display that gets the menu bar, and enable multiple workspaces are highlighted. Ways to check which applications (apps) are consuming the most power include examining the entries in the Energy tab.
