The article presents an overview of changes, challenges, and growth in the healthcare industry of the U.S. for the year 2014 in accordance with the implementation of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act. Topics discussed include cost effective of healthcare services, political issues concerning health care reforms, preparations being made by healthcare providers to manage the changing scenario of the industry in 2014, adoption of medical technologies to improve the quality of care.
