3 Stocks gave back Mon.'s modest gains on Tue. The S&P 500 backed off from a record close, giving up 0.3%. The Dow also lost 0.3%, while the Nasdaq slid 0.2%. Volume rose on the Nasdaq, giving it a distribution day. NYSE trade was flat. The 10-year Treasury yield fell 5 ticks to 2.8%.
