ABSTRACT
The article analyses the cancellation of Mexican artist Teresa Margolles's exhibition "So It Vanishes" as of February 2012 by The Dowse Art Museum located in Lower Hutt, New Zealand. It informs that the cancellation is based on the conflicts between indigenous beliefs and exhibitions of transgressive art. It mentions that the artistic aim of Margolles was to revitalize attenuated taboos about corpses.
