ABSTRACT
The article focuses on the management and education management. The purpose is to identify common and particular of these concepts and to consider it through essence, tasks, functions, types, methods and principles. Authors use the following definitions of management and educational management as basic concepts: management is considered as the management of socio-economic organization with generally economic objectives; educational management is management based on subject-subject relations, directed by a combination of methods, tools, techniques and principles aimed to achieve the goals of education. Fundamental beginning of the comparison is a systematic approach that enables to consider the educational institution as a complex system, thereby filling the concept of management education with a new content. the authors present conclusions and observations in the table. Comparative analysis allows the conclusion that the main task of management is to create an educational environment for the educational activities of students and teachers. Educational management relates the functions, methods and principles of management first of all with people.
