ABSTRACT
The article analyzes the possible macroeconomic effects of the agreement between the Hungarian government and the Hungarian Banking Association. The agreement is expected to have an impact on the growth prospects of the Hungarian economy. Its components include rules on foreign exchange mortgage loans, early repayment scheme, provisional exchange rate fixing program, and bank tax.
