ABSTRACT
The article reports on the $6 million funding awarded by Illinois Secretary of State Jesse White to the 164 literacy projects in the state. It provides descriptions for those awards along with personal stories resulting from these projects being funded in 2011 including the adult literacy program, family literacy program and workplace skills enhancement.
