So long Web site, hello social media

The author argues that a web site seems unnecessary when there are free social media (SM) tools like Facebook (FB), YouTube (YT), and blogs that allowed him to create a more effective online presence than his web site did. He cites the difficulty and high cost of designing and maintaining an impactful web site, aside from the cost of paying for search engine optimization (SEO). He claims that SM gives his optometry business a true persona to interact with patients and other businesses.
