N.D. Farm Machinery Tax Provisions on Lease Agreements Enacted

The article reports that the North Dakota legislature approved the bill H.B. 1236, which will be effective on August 1, 2013. The bill states that farm machinery and irrigation gear owners must pay the farm machinery gross receipts tax on the bought price of the gear for leasing. The bill excludes various lease deals from being taxed including used farm machinery rentals, farm machinery maintenance components, and used irrigation machines.
