ABSTRACT
The article discusses the significance of Facebook founded by Mark Zuckerberg to the policies of governments including Germany, France and the U.S. It says that Facebook differs from multinational companies in terms of its information database, user base, and membership. It adds that the U.S. Federal Trade Commission (FTC) attempted to modify the policy of Facebook on December 2011 when it filed a complaint on an alleged privacy violation under the Federal Trade Commission Act.
