ABSTRACT
The article focuses on the Symposium on Gun Control and the Second Amendment focusing on the decision made by the U.S. Supreme court in cases District of Columbia v. Heller and McDonald v. City of Chicago concerning gun use. It also examines the new judicial federalism concerning the state constitutions and protection of the individual's right to own guns. It also analyzes in the face of the Supremacy Clause, how a state offers better gun rights that the federal Constitution.
