ABSTRACT
The article presents the author's views on air-source and geothermal heat pumps as the renewable energy heat resources. He states that these heat pumps works through electricity and just transmit heat from one location to another. According to the author, only source of low temperature heat is sun and this heat is absorbed by the evaporator of these heat pumps. He further states that the thermal performance of these heat pumps is measured by coefficient of performance (COP).
