ABSTRACT
The article offers information on several species of the Salvia family. It states that the S. coccinea has widely spaced flowers along the stem and its almost translucent green while the S. farinacea has cup-like calyx with shiny gray-blue foliage. It further states that the S. officinalis is native to Mediterranean region and it is used as a medicinal plant and culinary herb.
