ABSTRACT
The article offers a brief information on Queensland Nurses' Union (QNU) member and councillor Karen Shepherd and announces her achievement of Emma Miller award in October for her commitment to unionism. She had successfully led the Your Rights at Work (YRAW) campaign in 2007, sponsored by QNU, by coordinating workplace events, communicating with key personnel, and helping to coordinate the YRAW petition campaign. A short description of Emma Miller awards is also given.
