ABSTRACT
This study aimed to discuss physical educator importance, working in the school environment, domestic violence detection against children and adolescents and the ways for forwarding suspicious situations. The school is much more than a place for the pursuit of knowledge, but a place to socialize and trade is vital to children and youth's development of. In the context of the interactions are physical education teachers, with conditions hardly identify peculiar behaviors demonstrated in the classroom. One of the points needed attention to these professionals is suspected domestic violence cases. Violence against children and adolescents is manifested in the physical aspects, psychological, sexual and neglect, each featuring distinctive features and that can be identified. Given the suspected abuse is important to give adequate attention to the victims and also to potential aggressors, never through repression, in order to obtain further information. Children and adolescents are protected by statute namesake requiring health professionals, teachers and institutions responsible for education to notify the Guardianship Council, without prejudice to other legal measures. It is necessary that the physical education teacher is aware of its social role and thus may contribute in different ways to build a society ever more just and secure.
