The article reports that ExxonMobil Corp. is planning to invest in new energy supplies and offers information on its update titled, 2012 The Outlook for Energy: A View to 2040. Rex W. Tillerson, chief executive officer (CEO) at the company, states that global energy demand is expected to rise by 30 percent by 2040 and so investment will be required to develop new technology. The update highlights that electricity will account for 40 percent of energy consumption.
