ABSTRACT
The article reports that the Australian Research Council has awarded a 410,000 dollars Discovery Grant to Monash and Warwick universities for a project focusing on transmitting data through light. It is noted that short-range communications systems with virtually unlimited bandwidth will be developed under the grant.
