ABSTRACT
The article discusses the energy security challenges faced by the Chinese government in 2012. It says that China surpassed the U.S. as the biggest energy consuming nation by the end of 2011 which put it in greater risks of energy security issue. It notes that the Chinese government's strategy focused on the construction of a stable, economic and clean energy supply system to attain sustainable economic and social development.
