The article focuses on the impact of social media on branding in China. It notes that Chinese consumers have been engaged in social media, particularly the increasing popularity of Sina and Tencent weibo which affected the volume, speed and impact of social media conversations. It says that brands are launching real-time social media listening command centres to adapt and capitalise the hype in social media environment.
