The panel discussion on the report at the University of Iowa BioVentures Center in Coralville was hosted by Innovate Iowa and the Iowa Biotech Association. It was noted that the state of Iowa has started 1,103 clinical trials since 1999, with 595 still underway at research institutions in Iowa City.
