ABSTRACT
The article discusses the safety and security measures adopted by U.S. schools to address bullying. Baltimore County school administrators are using hand-held detectors and increase the police presence after a shooting incident at a nearby high school. Refugio Independent School District in Texas introduced an anonymous tip system that deters bullying before it happens. Perry Hall High School resource officers will use hand-held wands to detect metal objects in case of suspicious activities.
