ABSTRACT
The article explores the realignment in Israel and its implications to the country's conflict with the Palestinians and growing tensions with Iran. It cites the shift of the Israeli government from right to center after Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu made a deal with Shaul Mofaz, the newly elected head of the centrist Kadima party. It also discusses the issues driving the realignment and how Mofaz will influence Israeli defense policy and the peace process as deputy prime minister.
