ABSTRACT
The article offers information regarding the U.S. Government Accountability Office (GAO) report on Medicaid supplemental payments during fiscal year 2010. It discusses expenditure reports obtained from federal funds filed with the U.S Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) the U.S. Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS). It states that the GAO designated Medicaid a high-risk program because of its inadequate fiscal oversight which cost dollar 383 billion in fiscal year2010.
