The article describes the Westfield Stratford City masterplan in East London, England as of July 2012. The opening of the Westfield Stratford City shopping center E15 in September 2011 is said to be just the tip of the iceberg of Australian developer Westfield's ambitious plans for East London. The plan reportedly calls for a four billion showpiece scheme on a 40-acre site around the Olympic Park by 2015. It notes that the Westfield site is the first of seven development phases in East London.
