ABSTRACT
The article focuses on the Asylum and Immigration Act of Great Britain and discusses its role in decreasing asylum applications and unauthorized immigration in Great Britain. It also offers information on several provisions under the law which restricts illegal immigration by increasing penalties for immigration offences and strengthening the powers of immigration officials.
