A special look at Kuwait: How renewable energies can serve as a compliment to the oil & gas industry

June 2012
ENHESA Flash;Jun2012, Issue 65, p26
The article explores the agreement between the Kuwaiti Petroleum Institute and the Kuwaiti Research Institute which aims to develop a practical plan in using renewable energy in the petroleum industry. It highlights the move of the Kuwaiti government in using renewable energies to reduce environmental burdens while increasing the fossil fuels for exports. It also outlines the projects of renewable energy use executed in three locations, such as the use of solar energy in big industries.
