ABSTRACT
The article evaluates the five water-borne binder systems for both salt spray and humidity resistance. It summarizes the key properties of an anticorrosive primer, which include high levels of adhesion and resistance to various forms of environmental stress as well as good barrier properties and hydrophobicity. It shows that all systems could meet the highest exposure classification for anticorrosive primers (C5) in both salt spray and humidity tests.
