ABSTRACT
Gov't forces have been hitting rebels in Syria's biggest city with artillery and armed helicopters. An armored column was ordered into Aleppo to wipe out rebel pockets. As fighting heats up near its border with Syria, Turkey has closed border crossings. But the U.N. said refugees will be allowed through.
