ABSTRACT
The article discusses the role of Zionism in the Israeli determination to settle the West Bank in Israel. Topics include a discussion of the radically different interpretations of the term Zionism by left and right wing Israelis, novelist Amos Oz's explanation for why the Jewish people are so determined to make Israel their home, which was detrimental to the Palestinian people, and why the author believes a one-state solution to the Arab-Israeli conflict is not viable.
