ABSTRACT
The article discusses the importance for health care providers to meet the requirements in the documentation of patients with Alzheimer's Disease and related disorders in the U.S. It highlights the move of the Medicare Administrative Contractor (MAC) Cigna Government Services LLC (CGS) to release guidelines for the documentation to ensure reimbursement. It also reminds providers that the documents should establish dependence on assistance for two or more activities of daily living (ADLs).
