ABSTRACT
The article offers information on the update of the study conducted by professor Dermot Hayes and graduate student Xiaodong Du from Center for Agricultural and Rural Development of Iowa State University, on the effect of ethanol to gasoline prices in the U.S. It states that the Renewable Fuels Association (RFA) funded the study to include the data of 2011 which shows an increase in ethanol production. Hayes states that ethanol helps the U.S. to export, increase its capacity, and lower prices.
