ABSTRACT
The article discusses the insourcing initiative of U.S. President Barack Obama. It notes that while the initiative has brought back to the country a few jobs, Obama is working on an export-oriented economic strategy. Obama believes that he can meet his goal of increased insourcing of production and higher exports by offering corporations reduced taxes. It adds that the attention directed by Obama on the renewal of manufacturing in the country affects the precariate working- and middle-class.
