In this article, the author reflects on the violence against police officers in the U.S. According to him, these attacks are done to avoid the arrests when police is doing their job and is physically, mentally and tactically prepared, but in the reverse situation where police is not on the offence, requires a proper training. He talks about the police stations in the U.S. and Canada which are also the targets of insurgents or antigovernment extremists due to the little or no security. He further informs about the dilemmas to be created by the law enforcement officers in order to reduce the threat including awareness, intentional unpredictability and angle of attack.
