ABSTRACT
The article discusses an anti-nuclear demonstration in Tokyo, Japan on September 25, 2011. The organizers describe the protest as a new style of anti-nuclear demonstration using sarcasm. Examples of some quotes on the signs carried by about 100 demonstrators in Tokyo are provided. A brief overview of other demonstrations that were organized after the March 11, 2011 nuclear disaster in Fukushima is given. The author explains why a sarcastic demonstration would work six months after the nuclear disaster instead in those early days of the incident. A look at some of the larger demonstrations up to the first week of October 2011 is given.
