ABSTRACT
The article reports that Dialog Semiconductor PLC has licensed the ARM Cortex-M0 processor for use as the controller in power management integrated circuits (PMICs). Tudor Brown, president of ARM, says that this opens a new application area for ARM processors in a smartphone or tablet design. It is stated that the company will use the processor to provide power control and battery management functions for portable devices based on multicore application.
