ABSTRACT
The article presents information on a study conducted by the U.S. Government Accountability Office regarding the assessment of large scale projects of the U.S. National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA). According to the GAO, the NASA's large scale projects accrue more cost than the research and knowledge they provide and hence have been designated as a high risk area. As stated, the NASA is continuously implementing initiatives for the reduction of acquisition management risk.
