ABSTRACT
The article discusses competition between large Internet companies such as Google and Facebook and small companies just beginning to emerge, such as the social networking site Cowbird. Particular focus is paid to differences between Facebook and Cowbird, especially to the different ways in which the websites allow their users to tell stories.
