ABSTRACT
The article focuses on the three-phase plan of Fukushima operator Tepco to decommission Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Plant units 1-4 which is expected to take 40 years. It states that phase one ends with the start of fuel removal from the spent fuel pools which is targeted to end in two years. It says that phase two will end when the fuel debris removal get started. Moreover, phase three will end with the total decommissioning of the location.
