ABSTRACT
The article offers information on global public opinion polls conducted by the BBC World Service Trust on the attitude of people towards the U.S. war on terrorism against Al Qaida. According to the polls, people in 22 out of 23 countries believe that the U.S. war has not weakened Al Qaida. Also, people in major countries have negative opinion towards Al Qaida except those in Pakistan and Egypt. Additionally, most people believe that neither Al Qaida nor the U.S. is winning from the war.
