ABSTRACT
The article focuses on the relationship between economics and politics. It is said that politicians make the most important economic decisions, adding that they create economic bodies such as the International Monetary Fund and European Central Bank to protect themselves. It raises doubt over the capacity of economists to lead the economy as practitioners of the same subject tend to disagree with one another. It discusses how a default option is proper in relation to the debt crisis in Greece.
