ABSTRACT
The article describes the ongoing upgrades being made to a nuclear power plant in Finland by ABB Power Generation. It states that the work includes replacing two nuclear power plant units over a six year period, designing and building new low voltage switchgear and transformers, and improving system safety. It reports that ABB will also supply various equipment, including busducts, relay protection, and auxiliary transformers. Other modifications, and the challenges involved, are described.
