ABSTRACT
The article reports on United Arab Emirates (UAE) exploring alternative power sources as the nation is facing a gas shortage. Abu Dhabi has managed to supply power and water as well as export to other emirates to date. However, it has been estimated by Abu Dhabi Water & Electricity Co. (Adwec) that demand for power in the emirate will rise to 18.532MW by 2015.
