ABSTRACT
The article offers a medium- and long-term economic outlook of Indonesia in 2011 and beyond. It expects that the economy of the country will grow by 4.7% yearly from 2011-2040. It says that the positive outlook for the country is backed by superior factor endowment including favorable demographics and abundant natural resources. It adds that Islamic militancy and terrorism, as well as possible political instability and ethnic violence, are some constraints to the development.
