ABSTRACT
The article discusses the "Directors & Boards" Survey on the compensation of executive and director compensation in the U.S. as of 2011. It was found that the total compensation of a chief executive officer (CEO), which includes cash, bonus, and benefits, have increased by 38 percent. The average CEO has earned 46 times more compared with the average worker for his or her company. Some respondents have emphasized that pay initiatives affect their approach to executive compensation.
