ABSTRACT
The article focuses on the Model Lighting Ordinance (MLO) and energy bills in the U.S. It says that the MLO can be offered as a model to develop a bill which can be considered pre-approved by some of the stakeholders. It adds that the Implementation of National Consensus Appliance Agreements Act of 2011 introduced by Senator Jeff Bingaman is meant to amend the Energy Policy and Conservation Act to improve the energy efficiency of appliances and equipment.
