ABSTRACT
The article focuses on the call of former U.S. Vice President Dick Cheney to U.S. President Barack Obama's administration to apologize for accusing U.S. President George W. Bush's administration of overreacting to the 9/11 terrorist attacks. The Bush-Cheney policies allegedly led to the September 30, 2011 killing of Al Qaeda leader Anwar Al-Awlaki, a U.S. citizen. President Obama announced that he equivocally prohibited the use of torture and ordered the closing of the Guantanamo Bay prison.
